Modern and Contemporary British Art Discussion Group – Next Meeting

Wednesday 19th June 2013, 4pm, Tate Britain, London

The next meeting of the Modern and Contemporary British Art Discussion Group will take place on Wednesday 19th June at Tate Britain at 4.00pm: Desiree de Chair, a doctoral student at the University of Warwick, will explore the topic of royal patronage in the second half of the nineteenth century by looking at the artistic relationship between Frederic Leighton and Albert Edward, the Prince of Wales. The meeting will be held in one of the Tate’s meeting rooms, and so those interested in attending will need to meet  as a group beforehand and go to the room together – as a result, the organisers will congregate outside the Manton entrance to the gallery at 3:45pm and go from there. If you would like to attend, please email the organisers Kate Aspinall (K.Aspinall@uea.ac.uk) and Gregory Salter (G.Salter@uea.ac.uk) if you plan to attend so that a security pass can be prepared for you – all are welcome to attend!
